Katie Holmes makes her debut as a screenwriter and director with "Rare Objects," an adaptation of Kathleen Tessaro's novel of the same name.

"Rare Objects" is a story about friendship that centers around a young woman (Julia Mayorga) with a traumatic past, who reclaims her own sense of self through her journey of discovery. She starts rebuilding her life through a job at a New York City antique shop, and the new friends and healing challenges that come with it.
