MONDAY NIGHT CLASSICS: Risky Business (1983)
(100 mins, NR)
Monday Night Classics (every other Monday) A beloved every other Monday series celebrating timeless, must see films on the big screen, featuring iconic stories, legendary performances, and cinematic favorites best enjoyed the way they were meant to be seen, in a theater with fellow movie lovers.

Risky Business begins when straight-laced high schooler Joel Goodson’s parents leave town and politely ask him not to destroy the house.

Naturally, he does the opposite.

One impulsive decision leads to another, and suddenly Joel is juggling a luxury call girl, a house full of strangers, a stolen Porsche, and a very creative plan to get into college.

What follows is a slick, synth-soaked spiral into capitalism, adolescence, and the realization that sometimes you have to dance in your underwear before you figure out who you are.

Equal parts coming-of-age comedy and cautionary tale—emphasis on the comedy.
