Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

PG-13, 134 minutes / Cast: Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Johnny Depp

4.14/5 (7)

The second film in J.K. Rowling's "Fantastic Beasts" saga picks up where "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" left off—with powerful dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) imprisoned, thanks to author and investigator Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne).

But, making good on his threats, Grindelwald escapes custody and sets about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's plans, legendary wizard Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists Newt's help, but neither are truly aware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn and love and loyalty tested in an increasingly divided wizarding world.
