Virtual Cinema: Two of Us

Event Category: Virtual Cinematheque Series
Admission: $12

“Two of Us,” the “impressively confident” debut from director Filippo Meneghetti, is “brought to life with the verve of [Barbara Sukowa and Martine Chevallier,] two actors in their prime.” (AV Club)

Two retired women, Nina and Madeleine, have hidden their deep and passionate love for many decades. From everybody’s point of view, including Madeleine’s family, they are simply two neighbors living on the top floor of their building. They come and go between their two apartments, sharing the tender delights of everyday life together—until the day their relationship is turned upside down by an unexpected event leading Madeleine’s daughter to slowly unveil the truth about them.

“As visually stunning as it is profound, ‘Two of Us’ is an incredible exploration of what it means to love and be loved in return.” —Globe and Mail

As a bonus, customers can enjoy a pre-recorded, post-film discussion between writer/director Filippo Meneghetti, star Barbara Sukowa, and international film icon Isabelle Huppert, exclusive to virtual cinema.
