Do you enjoy coming to the Tropic? Would you like to support one of Key West’s most important not-for-profits without having to write a check? We are always looking for great people to join the Tropic Volunteer Corps. As a not-for-profit the Tropic balances its budget with a lot of help from volunteers who work in the box office, check tickets and man the concession stand.

We need people who:

• Love movies
• Don’t have to remember to smile
• Like interacting with the public
• Aren’t afraid of using a computer terminal
• Have good basic math skills and are comfortable handling money
• Enjoy working with other like-minded people
• Can commit to working at least one shift each month (or as much as once a week)

Some of our volunteers have been with us for more than a decade. Our volunteers will tell you that they have a blast working at the Tropic and they know that they truly make a difference. And not only do volunteers earn the appreciation of the patrons and the staff, they also receive movie passes and free popcorn for every shift that they work.
